Effective Date: August 2026
PurgeNode (“PurgeNode,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting information associated with your use of our file cleaning application. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use PurgeNode, why it is processed, how it may be shared, and what choices and rights you may have.
By installing or using PurgeNode, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. What PurgeNode Does
PurgeNode is a file cleaning and storage management application designed to help users identify unnecessary files on their devices. Depending on the device and operating system, PurgeNode may identify categories such as:
- Advertising caches
- Outdated APK files
- Residual or leftover files
- Temporary files
- Other unnecessary files occupying storage space
Users can review detected items and choose which categories or files they want to remove.
PurgeNode does not automatically delete files simply because they are detected. Cleaning actions are initiated by the user.
2. File Management Permission
Because PurgeNode’s principal functionality requires access to files and storage information, the application may request File Management Permission or an equivalent system-level storage permission.
This permission allows PurgeNode to:
- Examine eligible files and folders;
- Identify files that may be unnecessary;
- Categorize storage contents;
- Calculate storage usage;
- Present potential cleaning results;
- Delete files selected by the user.
The permission is used to provide the application’s file-management and cleaning functions. PurgeNode does not use this permission to intentionally collect personal files for unrelated purposes.
Where technically applicable, PurgeNode processes file-related information locally on the device.
3. Information Processed Locally
PurgeNode is designed so that its core cleaning operations can take place directly on your device.
Information that may be processed locally includes:
- File names and file paths required for scanning;
- File sizes;
- File types and extensions;
- File locations;
- Storage usage information;
- Temporary or residual file characteristics;
- User-selected files and cleaning actions.
Such information is used to perform the requested cleaning functions and is not intentionally transmitted to our servers as part of the core cleaning process.
4. Information and Services Provided by Third Parties
Although PurgeNode’s core file-cleaning operations are performed locally, the application may incorporate third-party services and software development kits (“SDKs”). These services may process certain technical, device, usage, advertising, attribution, or diagnostic information according to their own privacy policies.
Depending on the version of PurgeNode, region, advertising configuration, or SDK implementation, these categories may include the following.
4.1 Attribution Platforms
Attribution services may be used to understand how users discover and install PurgeNode, measure advertising campaign performance, and attribute installations or events to marketing sources.
Information processed by attribution providers may include advertising identifiers, device or campaign information, installation information, and relevant application events.
4.2 Analytics Platforms
Analytics services may help us understand general application usage, including application launches, feature interactions, errors, performance information, and aggregated usage trends.
Analytics data is used to improve application reliability, functionality, and user experience.
4.3 Firebase
PurgeNode may use Firebase or selected Firebase services for functions such as analytics, crash reporting, diagnostics, performance monitoring, or other application-support purposes.
Depending on the services enabled, Firebase may process information such as device information, application events, diagnostics, crash information, and identifiers. The information processed through Firebase is governed by the applicable Firebase and Google privacy terms in addition to this Policy.
4.4 Advertising and Mediation / Aggregation Platforms
PurgeNode may integrate advertising mediation, aggregation, or monetization platforms to manage advertising inventory and display relevant advertisements.
Certain aggregation or mediation platforms may collect information concerning applications installed on a user’s device. This may include “Installed apps” information, which may be processed for “Advertising or marketing” purposes, including advertising selection, measurement, campaign performance, audience analysis, fraud prevention, or related advertising operations.
The collection and use of Installed apps information is performed by the applicable third-party platform in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable legal requirements.
Where required by applicable law, PurgeNode will provide or support available consent, opt-out, or privacy-control mechanisms for applicable third-party processing.
5. Personal Data
PurgeNode’s core file-cleaning functionality does not require us to collect the contents of your personal files for storage on our servers.
However, third-party services integrated into the application may process certain information that may constitute personal data under applicable law, such as:
- Advertising identifiers;
- Device identifiers;
- IP address or approximate location derived from an IP address;
- Application interaction information;
- Diagnostic and crash information;
- Attribution information;
- Advertising-related information;
- Installed apps information where provided by an applicable advertising or mediation platform.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the core file-cleaning functionality unless specifically disclosed and lawfully required for a particular feature.
6. How We Use Information
Information may be processed for the following purposes:
- Providing and maintaining PurgeNode;

9. Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell the personal data collected directly through PurgeNode’s core file-cleaning functions for monetary consideration.
However, certain privacy laws may define “sale” or “sharing” broadly enough to include advertising-related processing or transfers involving third-party advertising providers. Where such definitions apply, certain advertising or Installed apps information processed by third-party advertising or mediation services may potentially fall within those definitions.
You may request that applicable personal data not be shared or sold for purposes covered by applicable privacy laws by contacting us at the DPO address below. Where supported, you may also use the privacy controls, consent settings, or opt-out mechanisms provided within the application or by the applicable third-party service.
We will process a valid opt-out request in accordance with applicable law.
